Ok, so benefits have been changing as you all know. Also i'd like to apologise for any typos, i type too fast in the first place but the keyboard im using is in a public workspace where i like & has had food dropped on it so some of the keys don't really work or they stick & excessively add one letter.
I'v been switched over from Income Support with Disability Premium over to ESA - Employment & Support Allowance. ESA is entirely new & means you get put on something called the work program, there are different companies working with the jobcentre to get things done, i've been assigned to Serco/Interserve
just had my first meeting with them at their office behind Doncaster Jobcentre, I'm required to email them my CV, I don't have a formal one so i'll be emailing over links to profiles i've made on job sites.
THE WORK PROGRAMME
3 phases Engage, Enable & Empower.
ENGAGE is upto 16 weeks,. working with a personal adviser looking at your personal situation to find out whats been stopping you from getting work & what kind of employment you'll be looking for. You'll work together on job searches - aiming to find the right kind of work as quickly as possible.
I'm currently on this phase of the proggramme, my adviser at Interserve suggested we look for placements before actual work as a way to ease me into it, i like & agree with this plan.
next meeting is on the 14th feb.
